new digital photo frame not properly working goes off frequently(sometimes in a second sometimes after 30 minutes),bought on 27 feb,2010,has 2 year product replacement plan.
manager does not want to check for 5 mins and chk and wait if it can keep working for 5 mins or send it to a technition to get it checked.
i try to approach the manager two times to solve my problem but i unsucseeded,i am told to go home as i am wasting their time..if i try to speak to them any further they say i am yelling,although i just try to explain my situation.they kind of embarassed me and dont want to talk to me and leaves the counter.i just want my 2 year replacement plan to be treated fairly and get my product checked and replaced. .just to add i didnt ask for a refund but just replacement.
what do you guys suggest ?

I’m thinking of buying a car from them but have read many many complaints. All the complaints are mostly dated prior to 2009. Most of the complaints were about "no warranty" and the company not fixing problems. I know that now they have a 3 year warranty.

I’m planning on getting an 8GB iPod Touch from Costco…
Two questions -
First, how long of a warranty does Costco provide? I know it normally provides a 2-year warranty on most electronic products, but does that apply to iPod Touch’s too?
Second, is it worth getting an extended warranty on an iPod Touch? And if it is, is it better getting the AppleCare warranty or the in-store one (if there is for Costco)?

Hi,

Just about to buy a 2001 BMW 530i with 95k miles on it, it has a full BMW service history but I am concerned about something major going wrong with it, so thinking about getting an extended warranty.

I have never bought one before and feel kind of like a little fish in small pond full of sharks.

Specifically:

1. I don’t know how much I should be paying
2. Can you buy them for just 12 or 24 months
3. What companies are reputable, would rather pay a little more and go with someone good
4. and MOST importantly are they any good / cover most things that go wrong or do they only cover very minor stuff, leave me to pick up the tab for major repairs?

Really appreciate any tips!

I recently have done lots of extensive research online about purchasing a car. So, I ended up buying the car from the Auto Plaza since they can offer me a invoice price for the Honda CRV 2010. The salesman is ok. I bought the car ( I specially asked black color car only, no other secondary option). After I signed and put down the 500$ deposit down, the sale person called me about 2-3 hours later and said; " Sorry, We don’t black color CRV in stock right now. Would you like to change it to a deep blue one instead." I was thinking the deep blue color is almost same as the black. So I agreed. But that makes me a little bit unsatisfied. The worst thing comes at the second day. the finance. So I was assigned to a guy name Mike in the Hyundai department. I was convinced that I need to buy a extended warranty which cost about 2500$ in order for me to get approved for the auto loan. I was specially told I can only buy the extended warranty from them, no other place. If I didn’t buy the extended warranty, I would not be able to be approved for my loan. So I was silly enough to trust the word and bought the extended warranty which cost about 2500$ in which I can get from other place at round 1000$. They make ***** 1500$ out of my extended warranty. That is insane. Couple days later, I called to this finance guy and asked to cancel my extended warranty, the guy avoided my phone. ( " Sorry, I am talking to a client right now, and i am off on Tuesday, Wednsday, Thursday, Friday, Please Call me back next Monday. ) I was like WTF. Now, I knew I was cheated and I don’t know what to do. I would report this fraud or scam.

At the meantime, What should I do other than trying to call the finance guy?

I am buying my first desktop in quite a while, as my laptops aren’t able to run certain graphics intensive computer games, very smoothly. I did some research, and even though I never wanted another HP system since my last HP laptop died on me after only a year and no abuse whatsoever, this HP Elite HPE-170f seems to be one of the best on the market right now. It has everything I need for a super gaming system and seems to have one of the most reasonable prices. I’m trying to keep this purchase as cheap as possible, so my question is, would anyone recommend getting an extended service warranty on the computer (such as what Best Buy offers) or is it something that is usually a waste of money??? Best Buy’s two year extended warranty is $219. The computer is around $1,300. Thanks for any help.

only the geek squad warranty, my hp one ran up, the geek squad one is up in december of this year.
i have vista on it but i just bought windows 7 which arrived today, would installing windows 7 void my geek squad warranty or would that not matter?
my boyfriend is a computer builder and can pretty much fix anything internally and externally wrong on desktops and internally on laptops but external is the only issue so i’d really only need to use geek squad for mechanical issues, anyways.
i am just wondering if windows 7 would void it because vista sucks and windows 7 is much nicer.

I’m looking to buy a budget laptop for my family. I have always chosen Dell due to their incredible warranty (if ANYTHING happens to your system, they come fix it, for 3 years….drops, spills, complete coverage).

I need a basic laptop with HDMI output (Dell only has this on their higher end models). Who else offers a warranty as great as Dell? What about those pre-customized systems you buy at sites like Amazon and NewEgg – can I get complete accidental care on those? How?

I am planning on buying an Xbox360 Elite (at Gamestop), but I heard they do not offer warranties for consoles. I don’t want to risk it knowing that Xbox’s in general have a tendency to break. I bought my Canon powershot at Christmas, and it’s already shot, it won’t turn on and I’ve looked online for any dummy fixes and none worked.
It is under the limited 1 year warranty but I’m not sure if I should pay the shipping for them to possibly tell me that they wont fix it (happens a lot)

But if I do choose to send it under manufacturer’s can I take it back to the place I bought it or do I have to call the Canon 1-800 #? It’s just such a pain.

I bought a $500 camera, and of course the guy has to push the warranty and I turned it down. but I can go back within 2 weeks to get it etc.. it’s about $80 for two years of protection.

I bought my Ipod Touch over a year ago, but the 2 year warranty still works on it. It has been working fine for the most part, however, lately I am having so much trouble with cover flow on music. In some places it’ll work fine, in others I have to hold it weird to get it to stop cover flow, and in others it just won’t let me pick my music. It’s really frustrating and I was wondering if my warranty covers it so I can return it. (Ps- the home button isn’t actually stuck but it sometimes won’t let me do the double click thing to shortcut to music, and the battery I guess you could say doesn’t last as long but I can’t really say) Anyways, could someone clear this up for me or give me some ideas as to how I can fix it or exchange it for a new one ASAP. How does the return process, work etc. Much obliged.

Warranty can’t make sure my car being fixed?!?

I have a Holden Captiva, and it’s still covered by the new car warranty. The problem is that my car makes strange noise when I’m accelerating while turning my wheels. It’s a wired noise, like a piece of metal on another (friction).

The car dealer helped me to check it a couple of times, but they can’t find what caused it. then they came back to me saying there’s nothing else they can do. So I have to drive my car back and live with that noise.

I’m wondering do they have the liability to get the car fixed? or what other right do I have to it fixed while my car is still under warranty?

Please help! I really don’t know what I can do now.
Really appreciate your suggestions guys! The problem is that the noise is not a consistant one. I mean It only makes the noise when I’m accelerating at very low speed. The noise is not sound like cv joint or boot noise. it’s something like two pieces of thin metal on each other, and the noise is only last 1-2 second each time. it’s louder especially when I’m going up hill.
the noise also happens even when I’m driving streight with a little wheel correction (changing little direction).

Is the car still under warranty…?

Uh, probably a year ago my mom bought a Hyundai Sonata (2007 I believe) from a car rental dealer. Anyways, for maybe 6 months now the damn visors have been acting wonky. They keep falling down in front of the driver/passenger’s face, unexpectedly blocking view.

…now, for the longest time we tried everything to keep them upright. Velcro, tape, etc. Personally, I’d duct tape the little effers up or tear them out with my bare hands (it’s nearly gotten me into a couple accidents before). But it isn’t my car, so I can’t go around doing that.

Now, I’ve been doing my research on this issue, and apparently there was some kind of recall on this. But my mom bought it from, like, a non-Hyundai dealer… and the car’s used.

Where do we take this vehicle to get fixed? And will it be under some sort of warranty…? I think she got some sort of warranty with the dealership, not sure… Well if you can answer this, thanks!

Obviously I have limited knowledge on the mechanics of vehicles, I did test drive it and didn’t realize untill I drove it the 50 miles home that the valve cover gasket was leaking. The warranty says it covers engine, transmission, and differential(what ever differential means). Before I call the car lot I brought it from I’d like a little more knowledge on if its covered or not. I’m wondering if anyone knows if the V.C.G. is covered or not, and whether it would pay to drive it back to him or just fix it myself?
