Do I need an extended warranty on my vehicle?
->
I drive a chevy cavalier with over 94,000 miles and recently bought an extended warranty on the power train, through Warranty Direct.
Question is, I was told chevy’s are good cars and I am wondering if I should re-neg on this warranty.. I know someone who is driving one with 160,000 miles on it.
Any advice?

1. A car is only as reliable as you make it. A car isn’t "good" any more than it is "bad". If you maintain it properly, you shouldn’t have any problems, with ANY car. So anyone telling you that a car brand is good or not, simply hasn’t put any thought at all into their statement.
2. So you know someone driving one with 160k miles. So? That’s a DIFFERENT car than yours. That’s like saying you know someone who has lived to 100 years old. Doesn’t mean you will. So why would you compare the longevity of a different thing to your own?
3. You tell us. Do you want the security of knowing that if something breaks down, that it’ll be fixed for little to no cost? Or would you just rather take the risk on the word of people who have said that Chevy’s are good?
Personally, I’d have to be mentally handicapped to believe the opinion of people, versus protecting myself.
But that’s just me.
