I bought a new iPod touch at Christmas from best buy and I bought a 2 year warranty from black tie.?

I bought the iPod because my old one broke, but I’m wondering. How does black tie know which product you got the warranty for? Does the serial number go on it when you purchase it? Cuz I was thinking of trying to send my broken iPod to get fixed.

    The warranty is based off of the serial number(which isn’t duplicated) and SKU(which is the same for identical Ipod models) therefore trying to send in your broken Ipod would not work.
