I can’t find the warranty which I bought for my PS3 and its broken!!!!! HELP!!?

My PS3 died yesterday, it got the YLOD, and I am under 3 years cover which still has 2 months left, but I can’t find the warranty. What I have found though, is the reciept. Can I just take the reciept in, and they will be able to verify that I have a warranty from some code on the reciept?

Thanks for your help, any answers are greatly appreciated.

BTW, I know Sony can repair or replace it, but that cost like £145 which I just don’t have.

    if it has a garantee you can get a replacement for free
