Is my sidekick still under warranty if the person I orignally bought it from stopped his service with T- Mobil?
I have a sidekick 08 which I bought from a friend. It randomly just froze and I turned it off to restart but it never did. I took it to t-mobile to fix it but they couldn’t. They tried to search if its under warranty but obviously its not under my number since I bought it from a friend, but they said they could check my friend’s number. Will that work even though he no longer has a t-mobile plan?

it should be yes, just as long as your and your friend have been following the Warranty Policy. If policy was broken, you just lost Warranty!
At att, we allow this… friend to friend purchase/exchanges and still be on wty… just as long as its been 1 year from your friend’s purchase date when it was BRAND NEW…
If you are in doubt over t-mbile warranty policy, call heir 611 customer care dept and see if you have wty!

Check your friends number yes. If the phone is under a year old then warranty will take the phone in.If past a year,they won’t.
