should i jailbreak my ipod touch and what does the extended warranty cover?

I have a 2g ipod touch and i got the 2-year warranty that i believe expires next october. What are the pros and cons of jailbreaking it and should i wait til my warranty is up? also, what all does the warranty/extended warranty cover? also, i was going to buy the 3g software update, if i jailbreak my ipod should i get the software before or after? thanks for your help.
also, i heard that if i jailbreak my ipod then it breaks i can restore it and apple wont be able to tell i jailbroke it thus it would still be under warranty. is this true?

First of all yes your additional question is true.

I suggest getting the update then jailbreaking.

Don’t listen to the jailbreak haters.

You can get any app for free, change the look f your iPod and lots more.

Jailbreaking doesn’t mess up your iPod.
