Would an extended Toshiba warranty cover broken DC jack where the AC adapter plugs in?

I was using my laptop, a Toshiba Satellite, on its battery and when it was low, I plugged in my ac adapter into it, but it failed to charge and appeared dead. Now that my battery died and the DC jack appears to be damaged, I brought it to a repair shop where they estimated the costs of repair of it. Needless to say, I am unsure about going forward with that and wonder if Toshiba’s extended service warranty (I bought an extension of the standard 1 year warranty) covers repair of the DC-IN jack in the system board.

Does anyone know from experience? Please help!! Thanks!
The model is a Toshiba Satellite A205 and I have owned the laptop for a year. I’ve taken good care of it, so I’m at a loss at why the power jack is bent. I tried wiggling the ac adapter in the port, but no luck. :(

They should cover it if they determine that it has not been abused, ie dropped. I would not expect them to cover it willingly unless they know it is a defect in the manufacturing process

That all depends on whether it was accidental damage or just wear and tear. Contact Toshiba and check into it.. If was accidental it will not be covered by extended warranty but, if it was wear and tear send it in and they will fix it…

    Hope This Helps!
